Póchette handbags are handcrafted in Portugal by a small, women-owned manufacturing partner with extensive experience in luxury leather goods.

We chose to work with a family-run European manufacturer because of their exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality leather handbags. This close partnership allows us to maintain the standards we expect for every Póchette piece.

What materials are used in Póchette handbags?
All our pieces are made from premium Italian leather.

Our original Póca and Danu collections are made using soft, full-grain pebbled leather, chosen for its durability, texture and timeless appeal. Our Sparkle Collection is crafted from buttery-soft full-grain nappa leather, offering a luxurious finish with a subtle shimmer.

The interior lining is finished in our signature Syrah shade and is crafted from a durable 65% polyester and 35% cotton blend, chosen for its longevity and everyday practicality.

Can I change the straps on my Póchette handbag?
Yes, all our straps are interchangeable and work on both the Póca and Danu handbags. You can easily swap straps to give your bag a whole new look - from Casual woven for every day wear to the Luxe leather & chain for evenings out.

Our leather is sourced from an LWG Gold-rated tannery in Italy, meaning it has been independently audited for environmental performance, including water and energy use, waste management, emissions, chemical management and traceability.

We believe in creating products that are made to be worn and kept for years, rather than replaced seasonally.

Are your handbags handmade?
Yes, they are handmade by a skilled team at a small woman-owned manufacturer in Portugal.

We work closely with our production partners to ensure high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail across every piece.

Why do you not offer vegan products?
At present, we focus on working with high-quality leather as our primary material.

Many vegan leather alternatives available today are made from polyurethane (a plastic-based material), which can have a higher environmental impact and is not aligned with our current material choices.

However, we closely follow developments in innovative and lower-impact materials and remain open to introducing alternative options in the future as technology evolves.
